moving a legacy brand into the modern age with a complete rebrand from scratch.
When I began this project, the EVS brand was out dated. Their logos were stale, the website was old. Everything about their assets said "legacy system." One of my tasks was to completely re-brand the company starting with the EVS logo.
I went through several rounds of ideation and concepts working with the executives before the final concept. Several more rounds of variations were explored before discovering what is now the EVS logo. The bright green and crisp lines and edges is reflective of the brand, which is modern. The sans serif letters extending outside of the perimeter shows our drive to be disruptive. The bold letters also carry a strong weight being positioned at the bottom. This is showing that EVS is rooted and is not going anywhere.
I designed and built out the rest of the elements that make up the EVS brand from the color palette, fonts, and website to iconography and illustrations. Over the course of two months, I spoke with the executive team as well as coworkers and clients to shape the brand promise, positioning, pillars and voice.
