exploring the work of josef albers through meticulous physical color theory tests

Inexhaustible is a collaborative book designed by Vi Chetan and myself over the course of 16 weeks. The inspiration was Josef Albers, his work and theories with color. This book uses cut outs and silk screen paper inserts to demonstrate Vi and I's research and Albers' experiments with color theories from his book Interaction of Color.

A common theme throughout this book is the sensory of touch and interaction which are strong principles in which Josef Albers believed as a teacher and a learner. The die cuts on the dust jacket and inside the book reflect these themes along with the smooth textured silk screen inserts. The colors interact with the book and more importantly, the viewer and the viewer's eyes. Each of the 26 books are unique in that they all have different colors used for each of the silk screen paper studies.
