The mobe3 Scale integration was designed for industries relying on materials and powders needing to be weighed at a station for manufacturing. Businesses need to have high visibility into their products, especially when their products are in powder form and have more room for inaccuracy. The scale integration connects directly to mobe3 WMS, keeping all warehouse data in one easy-to-view product.

The process

In order to fully understand the business and design requirements, we went on site where we were able to talk to warehouse and business managers, as well as the users who would be using this scale integration on a daily basis. While on site, we brainstormed ideas for each feature and sketched high-level wireframes of concepts. There are three main components of the scale integration: being able to weigh materials within a batch, having the ability to remove or reverse materials already weighed, and the ability to return any material back to stock within the warehouse.

Once the requirements were gathered, understood and agreed upon, we began developing user flows. After joining the flows with wireframes, we moved into building high fidelity screens and prototypes for user testing.
